Here are our English curriculum pathways for Years 1–6 at Barrow URC Primary School. We follow the LPDS English Curriculum and use the TALK programmes to support the development of children’s English skills.

Each unit is built around a high-quality text, carefully mapped out below, which inspires children’s reading, writing, vocabulary development and oracy. Through engaging texts and carefully sequenced learning, we aim to develop confident readers, enthusiastic writers and effective communicators.
