Head Girl and Head Boy Applicants

Congratulations and well done to all our pupils who applied for the positions of Head Girl and Head Boy. Your applications, interviews and presentations were fantastic and you will be excellent ambassadors for our school. Well done and thank you to our virtual applicant Ella, you also received lots of votes. Apart from our Head and Deputy Head Girls and Boys we have decided because you were all so amazing that the other applicants will take on the very important roles of House Leaders. Well done everybody.

Erin Taylor has completed a sponsored walk in the dark (11th September) to raise money for The Rosemere Cancer Foundation. Well done Erin - you're amazing!
During anti-bullying week, pupils have enjoyed talking about mental well-being and how our core values can be positively used to ensure that everybody at our school feels happy, safe, loved and care for. Pupils discussed, in a very mature manner, the issues of more recent times regarding mental well-being and in particular feelings of isolation, anxiety and loneliness in light of COVID-19. Pupils spoke candidly about respect, racism and tolerance with regard to BLM before turning full circle to talk about their own thoughts and feelings about returning to school. Our pupils are very supportive of each other; they listened to each other showing a great deal of empathy and understanding. Here are some of their posters. The children hope you like them.

Mental Health Awareness Day
Pupils discussed various ways of keeping physically and mentally well and how a balanced diet, making healthy lifestyle choices and being active helps improve mental well-being. We then tested our fitness levels with an energetic PE session in our new hall. Everyone agreed that we felt energized afterwards and ready to tackle the day ahead.
European Day of Languages
Pupils learnt some simple phrases and greetings in Spanish by making a fortune teller game. They counted up to 20 and made actions and danced to help them recall the numbers. Finally, Ella helped us learn all about colour; pronouncing the words brilliantly. Thank you Ella.
Art and Design
In art and design, the pupils have been making observational drawings of natural sources, such as thistles, shells and fruits to name just a few. Here are photos of them at work and some examples of their art.

Children in Need Day
Children in Need
We have all really enjoyed dressing up in something spotty and having loads of fun playing games and taking part in the Duck Race. We hope that our contribution has helped to make other children’s lives just that little bit happier.
