Competitions
We love giving our children opportunities to enter lots of external competitions - here is Jai, the winner of the Barratt Homes’ Poetry Competition and Joshua, the winner of the National Ronald Dahl Design a New Character Competition.
Alien Writing Day
To bring the excitement back into writing after lockdown, we ‘found’ that aliens had invaded our school! Our children loved using this as a base for all sorts of different types of writing. ITV news even came to film us.
Book Tasting
Our KS2 children took part in a book tasting session to get a ‘taste’ of some new books. They then chose which we would like in our new school library
National Poetry Day
Our children learnt and recited their favourite poems to celebrate National Poetry Day.
Sophiaβs poetry recital

World Book Day
Each year we celebrate world book day across our school with book themed costumes and activities!
Extreme Read
To raise money to build our school library, lots of our children (and even our teachers) took part in The Extreme Read!
