Local author visit and books signing from Sophie Stewart, who wrote The Best Kept Secret.

Bringing children and books together. This week the children throughly enjoyed browsing through the books in the Travelling Book Fair. We were able to purchase a range of new and exciting titles for our school library.

We came together to celebrate National Poetry. This year we read a range of poems about the environment. We especially enjoyed All the Colours of the River by Matt Goodfellow

In honour of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee 2022, every child in school was presented with this once in a lifetime history book which tells the story of a young princess who grew up to become our longest reigning monarch, and celebrates the achievements, people and places that have become part of her remarkable legacy.

We would like to thank Barratt Homes for the collections of books that they donated to school In recognition of Youth Mental Health Day on 22nd September. The donation included a range of books by Usborne Publishing, which aims to support children’s mental health. These are now in our library for the children to enjoy

The children from Larch Class were all really grateful to each receive a book called ‘We Can Build’. These books were kindly donated by Barratt Homes. The book teaches our children about the process of building a new home, and will perhaps inspire some of our pupils to consider a career in the construction industry.

Our Free Little Library - Take a book ~ Leave a book. This is placed at the front of the school and is welcome to all the village.

Starbook Cafe - This month's theme is Well-being and Mindfulness. This is one of our cozy little nooks in school where children can share in a poem/story and have a hot chocolate on a Friday.
