Playground Leaders
Our year 5/6 pupils have developed some great ideas on how to lead and improve playtimes after their Playground Leader training.
Kids Cup Tournament
This year our Year 5/6 Barrow Reds Football Team have had the opportunity to compete in the Kids Cup Football Tournament! They came 3rd and have made it through to finals day in November.
Ribble Valley Cross Country
In October, Miss Walker and Mrs Porter took our cross country team to compete in the Ribble Valley Primary Cross Country Tournament. Every one did fantastic and our boys team came 3rd overall!
Outdoor Education
All year groups at Barrow have the opportunity to take part in forest school sessions each year! These sessions allow our children to develop confidence, team work skills, leadership skills and communication skills through exploration and discovery.
We are currently developing our Forest School area … watch this space!
Football League
All of our footballers are attending league games throughout the year, giving them the opportunity to compete with other schools!
Football Club
Lots of our year 5/6 girls and boys attend football training after school each week with Miss Walker!
Tennis Sessions
In September, the Lawn Tennis Association gave all of our KS2 pupils a taster session to invite them into the world of tennis 🎾
Balanceability and Bikeability
Each year, our reception children and our year 5 children attended lessons in school to support them in developing their bike riding skills.
Sports Day
Each year, our children take part in competitive sports day! They compete in their houses to win the House Title.
Year 6 Residential
Each year, our year 6s attend a residential to develop teamwork, communication, confidence and so many more skills to help them in their transition to high school.
This year, our year 6s will be going on a 5 day residential to Winmeleigh Hall (PGL).
Year 5 Residential
Our year 5s attend a 3 day residential to Patterdale Hall. This is a fantastic bonding experience for them, ready for their final year together at Barrow.
