The children really enjoyed learning about the Easter story, from the Last Supper to the joy of Easter Sunday, through engaging activities.

Recently, we have been accessing training through The Local School Nature Grants Programme, helping us to develop our knowledge and confidence in gardening with children . It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and ideas for outdoor learning.

We can’t wait to bring what we’ve learned back into school and share these exciting experiences with our children as we continue to grow our love of nature together!

They led fantastic drama workshops with all of our children and the feedback from staff and pupils has been wonderful. The children had such a great time bringing stories to life through drama and performance.

Each class explored a different story:

EYFS & KS1 – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

LKS2 – Alice in Wonderland

UKS2 – Harry Potter

Thank you for helping make World Book Day such a memorable experience for our pupils!

The children loved meeting author Andy Edwardson and getting their books signed. A wonderful day celebrating our love of reading!

The atmosphere was wonderful, and we are absolutely delighted to share that we made a staggering £552!

This fantastic amount will go towards building a brand new outdoor classroom for the children at Barrow — such an exciting project that will benefit all of our pupils!

Collecting tickets (and children!)

Or being part of the brilliant cleaning team

You were all superstars and represented our school beautifully!

Your energy, enthusiasm and fab dancing were amazing to see! We are so proud of you all — you truly shone on the dance floor!

Your teamwork has been brilliant to watch, and the improvement each game has been incredible. The support you show one another and your determination on court make us so proud!

They had the chance to handle real artefacts , write their names in hieroglyphs and even saw a real mummy!

The children were brilliantly behaved and loved learning all about Ancient Egypt. A fun, hands-on experience they won’t forget!

Barrow URC Primary School celebrates team work, determination and fun on Sports Day 2025. All the children shone in every race. Well done to everyone who took part

Last Monday we had our very first bee keeping club. We looked in the hives and couldn’t believe how much honey the bees had produced. The best bit was tasting the honey! We can't wait for the next session. Thank you to Idris for this wonderful opportunity!
