Copley Art Prize

This year, as a school, we decided to enter The Lowry's Copley Art Prize!

From Reception to Year 6, each class focused on one of LS Lowry's paintings and used this as inspiration for their own artwork.

We used a range of different materials.

In Year 3, pupils used acrylic paints, collage, oil pastels, pastels and Posca paints in a multi-layered mixed media painting inspired by Lowry's, 'A Street in Clitheroe'.

The paintings were handed into The Lowry Gallery and we are now waiting to hear if any one of our school's creations will be picked to hang in the gallery space alongside LS Lowry.

Whatever happens, we have some of our work in our very own school gallery!
