Letter to children 12.6.20
Please have a look at the document below which includes concerns from parents in our recent phone calls and suggestions of strategies to use. You're all doing brilliantly!
We have reached the final week of the summer term! Thank you for all your hard work with the home learning (parents included!). You've done a fantastic job and we're so proud of how well you've coped through these strange times.
We've missed you all so much and can't wait to welcome you back in September.
Staff are busy working away on a plan to help you adjust back to school life so that it as easy as possible for you. I'm sure you're very excited to see all your friends again!
For the last week, all the 'must' and 'could' tasks are still available but you'll find the 'should' section a little different...I've included a range of fun, end of term activities for you to have a go at which you would normally have had an opportunity to do in school.
Take care,
Mrs Rosinski x
Must
Practise your times times tables daily using the links to help you (especially Times Tables Rockstars).
Practise your spellings daily; picking a few from the list provided and using the spelling strategies to help you learn them.
Access Bug Club daily. Read the Guided Reading book and answer the questions in your workbook (you also have lots of general reading books to choose from on there, too!)
Should
Complete the daily Maths and English tasks.
Check out the PE timetable which is updated weekly. There's plenty of exercises to have a go at.
Could
Log on to Purple Mash and have a go at some of the 'ToDos'. Make sure you click 'hand in' so I can have a look at your completed work.
Take a look at the links to activities for other subjects too.
If you're looking for even more to do, there's the additional learning page which has plenty of ideas to have a go at.
Amelia's Venn diagram for the characters Stella and Tom. Check out her detailed responses where she has used evidence from the text.
Hattie's detailed drawing of what she believes the character 'Fletch' to look like as well as labels to describe his appearance and personality.
Amelia M's fun Squash Book which gives some interesting facts about important people
Sophie's wonderful ending to the story 'The Secret Lake'
