Our School Charity Vote

Thursday 12th November

The School Council have been extremely busy this week helping us choose a charity to support.

Each class chose their class charity:

Oak Class - East Lancs Hospice

Larch Class - World Wildlife Fund

Sycamore Class - RSCPA

Rowan Class - Team SEAS

Willow Class - Cancer Research UK

Beech Class - North West Air Ambulance

All the charities are truly worth while causes and we would love to support them all,

however we had to choose one school charity.

The School Council then made voting cards and ballot boxes.

Every child in the school selected one of the six charities.

The School Council have now announced that our school charity for this year is:

Thursday 5th May

The BBC visited school today to find out about the history of our school...

A 145-year-old time capsule, containing ten coins and a rolled-up newspaper, has been discovered in the foundations of our primary school.

The glass jar was found "by complete accident" while workers renovated the chapel at Barrow URC Primary School in Clitheroe, Lancashire, built in 1876.

The artefact had been placed inside one of the chapel's foundation stones.
