  • Sycamore Class lead our Lent Worship

    A heartfelt thank you to Sycamore Class for leading us in a beautiful family worship on Lent. Your rendition of the song at the end was truly moving and served as a poignant reminder of the significance of this season for Christians. As one parent aptly noted on the evaluation sheet, 'I loved the warmth and energy in the room, which is a great reflection of the philosophy of the school'

  • Year 6 STEM challenge

    Year 6 had an amazing morning with Johnson Matthey who came into school to complete a STEM challenge with the children. In teams, the children had to build the tallest tower using dowel and elastic bands. They also had to budget for their materials, design a marketing campaign and think about how sturdy their design would be. They gained 10 points for every cm their antenna was above the ground. Several groups created a tower well above 3m tall!

  • Buddhist Monk visit to Year 5

  • Year 6 visit to the Houses of Parliament

    Year 6 had an amazing day in London. They went to The Houses of Parliament, visited the King’s robing room, toured the House of Lords, met our local MP, Nigel Evans, took part in a law and debating workshop, feasted on burgers, travelled on the underground and lots more. It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to learn about democracy and rules of law.

  • Childrens mental Health Week

    On Monday, we started off our week with some mindful breathing in assembly and 'Mountain Pose' yoga in the hall. We introduced our 'Thank Tank' which encourages children to express what they are grateful for. On Wednesday morning we had a selection of wellbeing stations (yoga, playdough, chatterboxes, fitness, colouring) for the children to choose from and the whole school enjoyed taking part in the various activities. It was lovely to see the different year groups spending time together, and the older children looking after the little ones! Well done Barrow!
