The children enjoyed a wonderful nature session with Jake and Dannie from Clitheroe United Reformed Church. They took part in an exciting bug hunt, exploring the outdoors and discovering the small creatures living around us. The session ended with a cosy fire pit where the children enjoyed toasting marshmallows and sharing a special outdoor experience together.
What a wonderful morning we had at our Summer Poetry Recital! ![]()
The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their favourite poems with one another and listening to performances from across the school. It was lovely to see their confidence, expression and enthusiasm as they brought poetry to life.
From funny verses to thoughtful reflections, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We are incredibly proud of all the children for taking part and celebrating the joy of poetry together.

Year 6 had a wonderful trip to Turret House in Clitheroe to discuss transition. They took part in different prayer space activities and got to reflect on their time together at primary school. The children loved moving around the different areas and especially loved the calm room.
Year 3 have really enjoyed completing their group art project; thinking about placement before creating faces out of shells. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork and attention to detail in action!

Everyone showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and curiosity throughout the day, and we were so proud of their excellent behaviour and engagement. A wonderful outdoor learning experience for all involved! ![]()
Year 6 had an amazing trip to the Sea Life Centre in Blackpool this week. They got to complete their Geography Fieldwork where they compared Barrow to Blackpool and loved seeing the different sea creatures as a reward for completing their SATs exams.
We are so proud of our Year 6 class. They have worked hard throughout all their SATs exams last week, shown resilience and now get to enjoy their Leavers Hoodies!
