Our netball team played amazingly again in their second tournament of the year. Well done girls, you played with wonderful sportsmanship and communicated well to reach victory in one match and narrow defeat in others. We are proud of you!
Year 2 enjoyed testing out our new hammocks in their forest school session. A lovely afternoon!
Today we shared photos and videos from our recent trip to Bethany in worship, and each child received a special postcard from a child there 💛
Such a lovely reminder of the meaningful links we are building - connecting hearts, sharing experiences, and growing together across our school communities.

A group of year 4 children attended glow dodgeball at Oakhill with Miss Fallon. What an amazing morning they had, showing the Barrow way throughout. Encouraging each other and respectful to other teams.
Year 1 had a fantastic visit to Clitheroe Mosque! The children learnt lots about how Muslims prepare for prayer by washing and cleaning in a special room, discovered which direction Muslims face when praying towards Mecca and found out about the five daily prayers. They were also excited to share their knowledge of the Mihrab, something they had already been learning about in class. A big thank you to everyone at Clitheroe Mosque for making us feel so welcome.
At Barrow URC Primary School, we believe it is really important to continually upskill our staff so we can provide the very best learning experiences for our children.
Recently, we have been accessing training through The Local School Nature Grants Programme, helping us to develop our knowledge and confidence in gardening with children ![]()
. It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and ideas for outdoor learning.
We can’t wait to bring what we’ve learned back into school and share these exciting experiences with our children as we continue to grow our love of nature together! ![]()
