Today we celebrated with a special worship, where every child received a Prayer Bear kindly gifted by the NW Synod 
Then it was straight into BARROWFEST! 
A day of celebrating our history, our community and all that makes Barrow special, finishing with our fantastic enterprise stalls!
What a fantastic week we’ve had at Barrow URC Primary School as we have hosted our very first MMADD Week – a celebration of Maths, Music, Art, Dance and Drama! 
Each class has been exploring a different piece from the BBC’s Ten Pieces programme, opening up the wonderful world of classical music and giving our children the opportunity to listen, respond, create and perform. 
Alongside this, our children have been busy developing their Young Enterprise projects, getting their stalls ready for our BIG sale tomorrow! 
A huge well done to all our children and staff for making MMADD Week such a creative, exciting and memorable week! 
We are SO proud of our 8 talented children from Writing Club who have had their poems published in the poetry anthology Monster Poems! 
What an amazing achievement!

It was a pleasure to see children arriving at school on the second Barrow Bike Bus this morning! 
A huge thank you to Friends of Barrow School for once again organising this great event that encourages our children to be active, healthy and environmentally aware. 
🌟 We are incredibly proud to announce that Barrow URC Primary School has been awarded the Step into Quality Mark for Well-being for Adults and Children! 🌟
Year 2 had a wonderful time at Blackpool Zoo learning about the different animals and their habitats. The highlights were the sea lion show, the otters and the baby Elephant, Zaiya.
It’s coming home!! 
The 1am match didn’t stop us celebrating … we all gathered in the school hall to watch England beat Mexico! What a game and what a celebration we had.
Now comes the exciting part - watching them grow. We can't wait to pick them and enjoy them with a big scoop of ice cream!

Our beekeeping club has been busy jarring up this season's delicious honey.
Nothing beats local honey, made by hardworking bees. 
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible team of volunteers who gave up their Friday afternoon to help transform our school.
Despite the scorching temperatures, everyone worked tirelessly, and the amount we achieved in just a few hours was simply amazing!

Bark spread around the benches
Peace Garden tidied
Forest School cleaned up
Sand given to our chickens 
Mud kitchen moved
Shed 95% assembled
Bushes along the path trimmed
Weeds cleared from the outdoor gym

**What an amazing Guitar Concert we had yesterday!** 
A huge congratulations to all of our talented young guitarists, who wowed us with their superb musicianship, confidence and fantastic performances.
