Our NEW School Library

Did you know that 1 in 8 Primary Schools do not have a library?

Did you know that libraries provide a free reading resource to all children?

Did you know libraries provide a sense of community?

Did you know that libraries encourage a lifetime love of reading?

Our school has been an important part of the Barrow community for almost fifty years.   The last year has been an extremely challenging time for us, and it is without doubt, that the current pandemic has impacted on our learning.

With this in mind, we are hoping to reignite everyone’s love of learning - especially reading, by creating a new school library!

We hope to change this…. into this!

We are all really busy trying to raise lots of funds for our school library.  In May, we are all taking part in a whole school challenge called:

We are going to walk all the way to the top of Pendle Hill and read a chapter from our favourite book at the top.  This is a BIG challenge – it’s a long way for little legs!

We would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring us for the big challenge.

To access our 'Go Fund Me' page just click on the icon below.

A donation of £10 would buy us a brilliant new book.

A donation of £200 would buy us some super shelving.

A donation of £500 or more (would be epic) and buy a special reading area.

Every donation will make a BIG difference to us, regardless of size.

We can't wait for our new library to be open!

sit back and relax, all you need is a book”
