Our Rewards
Dojo Points
Every day in class, on the playground, at lunchtime, children are rewarded with Dojo points, using the interactive reward system, "Class Dojo," online. There are many ways children can earn Dojo points and these are agreed under various categories in each class, such as excellent manners, displaying values, hard work. The children can gain points over a week. Their goal is to gain enough dojos the gain a bronze, silver or gold award. Dojo points can be awarded by any member of staff, and in discussion by other children.
Weekly Awards:
Each week one child from each class will be awarded Pupil of the Week. This will be awarded to a pupil who has stood out to their teacher for exceptional work, behaviour, effort or something else.
As well as this, one child from each class will be awarded Star Writer. This is awarded to a pupil who has stood out to their teacher for fantastic effort in writing tasks that week.
Bug Club Reading Award Scheme:
Our unique reading reward system has been designed by teachers to promote reading, encourage children to read independently using ‘Bug Club’ and most importantly, to promote a life-long love of reading. Class teachers will record the number of books that your child reads, using the school’s new reading scheme ‘Bug Club’.
When a child reaches one of the reading award milestones, they will receive a special enamel badge. The children can wear their Reading Award badges on their school tie. Mrs Taylor will award the badges weekly.
