PE and Sport Premium
The PE and Sports Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of PE, school sport and physical activity for all children. At Barrow URC Primary School, this funding allows us to provide high-quality PE lessons, specialist coaching, a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, competitive sporting opportunities and staff training to enhance teaching. It also helps us purchase equipment and promote healthy, active lifestyles, ensuring every child can develop confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of sport. This essential funding has played a significant role in helping us achieve the Platinum School Games Mark Award 2026, recognising our outstanding commitment to sport and physical activity.
Schools are required to publish details of how their PE and Sports Premium funding is allocated and the impact it has on pupils.
