After meeting with FOBS and Mrs McCardle school council were given £600 to spend on playground equipment. We voted in our classes what equipment we would like and then we ordered it. There is a different bag to play with every day at lunch time with Miss Goodwin and Ms Proctor. We are all enjoying learning new games and how to play with the new equipment.
School council arranged a cake sale to raise money for every class to sponsor an animal.
During our class council meetings we have been discussing how we would like to improve our school playground.
Some of the suggestions included: New playground markings, new equipment to play with, den building, picnic area, craft area, climbing wall and a climbing frame with swings.
Today we have met with Laura from FOBS to share our ideas. She showed us some of the possible playground markings and games we could choose from and also shared with us her priorities for improving the playground.
We will soon be having new colourful benches, a picnic area and new playground markings with games to play. We will meet with Laura again soon to help decide which things we can have for the budget FOBS have managed to raise.
