Welcome
Headteacher’s Welcome
On behalf Barrow URC Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website. I hope it will give you a flavour of our wonderful school.
As a church school, the Christian faith underpins all that we do in school. We strive to ensure that pupils at Barrow are happy and confident individuals who demonstrate the school’s core Christian values of respect, honestly, trust, love, peace, kindness and forgiveness. Our mission statement is “Rooted in God’s love, everyone growing together to be the best that we can be” this reflects two important aspects of our school.
Firstly, we want all the children to be the best that they can be, to achieve in a personal, social and academic sense and experience success throughout their learning journey. Secondly, we want the children to grow as individuals in a caring and supportive environment and develop into happy, confident, independent and responsible learners.
All our staff work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children. We follow a skills based curriculum that challenges learners, builds resilience and educates children to be responsible young citizens.
We welcome you to come along and visit our school as ‘Every day is an open day at Barrow’. If you would like to arrange a visit then please contact our school office on 01254 822338 or email office@barrow.lancs.sch.uk. Please check out our school twitter feed @BarrowUrc or facebook page at ‘Barrow URC Primary School’ to see all of the fun things we get up to.
If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you to our Barrow school family.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Nicola McArdle
